Dax rises to a new high for the year – but the leading index still has some catching up to do in a European comparison

Dusseldorf The leading German index is unstoppable and reached a new high for the year at 15,706 points on Tuesday. In midday trading, the Dax was then listed at 15,670 points, an increase of 0.1 percent.

Yesterday, Monday, the stock market barometer climbed to an annual high of 15,677 points. In the current stock market year, the Dax is up around 13 percent so far.

Now the focus should quickly be on the round mark of 16,000 points. This area was a resistance from August 2021 to January 2022 that could not be sustainably broken. For only three days, at the beginning of November 2021, the Dax was above this mark. The result was a record high of 16,290 points.
