Dax is more car-heavy than ever – course driver or cluster risk?

Dusseldorf The start of the week was brilliant for the Dax: On Monday, the leading index reached a new high for the year at 15,674 points. He was able to surpass this several times over the course of the week. The biggest price drivers were the German car companies.

On the one hand they are profitable, but above all they dominate the Dax – by far. The leading German index has never been as car-heavy as it is today. “The car manufacturers in the Dax generated around 50 billion euros in net profit in the past financial year,” says Handelsblatt financial market analyst Ulf Sommer.
