Dusseldorf The German stock market is again showing a friendly trend. The Dax rose by 0.6 percent in the first hour of trading and was quoted at 14,442 points. Yesterday’s trading day ended with a minus of 0.2 percent and a final reading of 14,355 points.
The leading German index fulfilled the first part yesterday, Tuesday, at least for the time being, in order to confirm the eight-week rally. The Dax remained six points above the previous week’s low of 14,321 points.
The second part for a continuation of the upward movement on a weekly basis is likely to be more difficult. For this, the stock market barometer would have to climb above the high of the previous week, which is 14,571 points.
In the past eight weeks there have not only been new highs and higher lows, but always a profit at the end of the trading week. Such a long winning streak is rather rare.
