Dusseldorf The German stock market was friendly on Friday: The leading index Dax was up 0.5 percent in the morning at 15,729 points. The MDax of the medium-sized values is 0.9 percent firmer.
At the end of the week, the development around the debt-laden Chinese real estate company Evergrande continued to be a topic of conversation. Many investors anticipated the insolvency of the country’s second largest real estate developer, which is groaning under a mountain of debt of more than $ 300 billion.
In the Dax, the 15,700 point mark remains contested: the Frankfurt stock market barometer has fluctuated around this mark in a range of 15,614 to 15,788 points for the entire week, with two times above and twice below the mark. The explanation for this is that this Friday is a big expiration day, called the Witches’ Sabbath – and the 15,700 mark plays an important role here.
