Dax continues recovery – bank shares continue to rise

Dusseldorf The leading German index continued to rise in the first few minutes of trading on Tuesday and was up 0.8 percent at 15,250 points. Already on Monday it was 1.1 percent higher at 15,128 points.

Among other things, the bank stocks were decisive for the recovery: Papers of the German banks gained 6.3 percent, Commerzbank shares closed 3.6 percent in the plus. In the past week, Deutsche Bank papers had lost 15 percent at times, Commerzbank shares almost ten percent.

Bank stocks continue to climb on Tuesday. Deutsche Bank papers gained 1.5 percent in the first few minutes of trading, Commerzbank shares 2.5 percent.

It was also bank stocks that helped Wall Street rally on Monday. US bank First Citizens’ takeover of deposits and loans from Silicon Valley Bank seems to have allayed fears of further bank failures.
