Dax continues rally – but investors should calculate profit-taking on “Black Friday”.

Dusseldorf After jumping above the 14,500 point mark yesterday, the leading German index is defending its gains. The Dax was listed at 14,544 points in the first hour of trading, an increase of 0.1 percent.

Next stop on the upside is the 14,700 point mark. On the downside, the weekly low of 14,321 points is significant. As long as the Dax is above this mark, the rally has remained intact since the end of September 2022.

However, investors should factor in profit-taking on today’s “Black Friday”. In addition to the brilliant price increase on Thursday, this is mainly due to seasonal factors, as the technical analyst Jörg Scherer from HSBC Germany calculated.

In the USA in particular, this Friday has shone with profit-taking six times in the past ten years. Since 2018, the day after “Thanksgiving” has always brought price losses.
