Dax companies pay record dividends of 54 billion euros

Mercedes Benz, Allianz, BMW

The three companies pay out the highest total dividends in the leading index Dax.

Dusseldorf Despite the geopolitical and economic crises, the 40 Dax companies will probably transfer almost 54 billion euros to their shareholders next spring – more than ever before. That’s another six percent more than this year, according to the Handelsblatt forecast.

It is true that the Management Board and Supervisory Board will only submit their annual figures for the 2022 financial year to the Annual General Meetings as to which dividends they want to distribute in 2023. But the nine-month balance sheets and the company’s own dividend policy already allow for reliable estimates.

According to this, a little more than half of the groups are likely to increase their dividends, including the insurers Allianz and Munich Re, Deutsche Bank, the stock exchange, the post office, Telekom and Linde.

The three car manufacturers will pay the most: BMW, Mercedes and Volkswagen are all likely to increase their payout and pass on a total of 13.5 billion euros. You pay out a quarter of the total Dax dividends.
