Dax closes just below 16,000 points – Turkish lira falls to record low

Dusseldorf The German leading index Dax briefly regained the 16,000 point mark on Friday afternoon shortly before the long Pentecost weekend. It climbed to a daily high of 16,008 by around 5 p.m. However, the Frankfurt stock exchange barometer then went slightly below it again after trading with an increase of 1.2 percent at 15,984 points.

After the stock market barometer climbed to a new record high last Friday, it fell back below 16,000 on Wednesday, returning to its old trading range. The Dax also seemed to be trading with a clearly negative weekly balance. On Friday afternoon it was still 0.4 percent down, the low for the day was 15,726 points.
