Dusseldorf For two days in a row, the leading German index tried in vain to sustainably break the 16,000 point mark. At the end of the week, the Dax tested lower areas again. The stock market barometer closed at 15,883 digits, down 0.9 percent. The Dax ended trading at its daily low and the lowest level since Tuesday of this week. On a weekly basis, the leading German index lost 0.4 percent.

With the daily high on Thursday of 16,090 points, the way for higher prices appeared to be paved in the Frankfurt benchmark, but this breakout lasted only for a short time: At the close of trading, the index was 16,032 points – an increase of 0.1 percent.

The minus on today’s trading day is not yet a cause for concern. The Dax remains in a “chart technical no man’s land”, as the technical analysts of HSBC Germany put it in their morning commentary today.
