Dax closes above 15,000 points for the first time in eleven months

Frankfurt The German stock market has initially passed an important mark: on Thursday, the leading index Dax was listed above the level of 15,000 points for the first time in several months. At the end of trading there were 15,058 points on the stock exchange, an increase of 0.7 percent.

The eagerly awaited US inflation data has met investor expectations. Nevertheless, there was some nervousness on the stock exchanges. Immediately after the data published in the German afternoon, the Dax fell to its daily low of 14,935 points, a good half hour later it marked its daily high of 15,095 points.

The fluctuations continued with the initially weaker opening of the US stock exchanges. Ultimately, however, the Dax rose above the 15,000 point mark again.
