The Exciting Return of ‘Dancing with the Stars’

The stage is set for the thrilling comeback of ‘Dancing with the Stars’ as twelve celebrities step into an uncharted territory filled with challenges and personal growth. This captivating competition kicks off on Friday, February 7, at 9:10 PM on TF1 and TF1+. These contestants are not just up against each other; they are also battling their own limits. Previous participants have shared that this journey is bound to be a sweat-inducing experience, filled with valuable lessons along the way. During the press conference unveiling the fourteenth season, the stars were still in suspense about their dance partners. Let’s dive into the competing pairs and their inaugural meetings.

Meet the Competing Pairs

Charlotte de Turckheim has expressed her nervousness, stating, “I’m really scared but I want it even more than I’m scared.” Her excitement peaked when she discovered she would be dancing with Yann-Alrick Morteuil. “Oh wow, I’m so happy it’s you! I didn’t dare say it but I wanted it to be you,” she exclaimed. Her aim? To celebrate her upcoming 70th birthday on the dance floor on April 5.

Lénie and Jordan Mouillerac were equally thrilled to be paired together, both sharing a background in the same dance style. “I think we’re going to understand each other, and besides that, you’re quite strict. I needed that,” Lénie mentioned, playfully acknowledging her competitors’ view of her as a frontrunner.

Sophie Davant entered the rehearsal space with a mix of nerves and joy upon meeting her partner, Nicolas Archambault. “Nicolas, that’s my son’s name. It’s a beautiful name,” she mused, while also aiming to inspire women of her generation with a resounding message: “Why not you?”

Olympic champion Florent Manaudou, known for his prowess in the pool, is stepping onto the dance floor with some apprehension. “I’m not too used to being on solid ground,” he admitted, but he is determined to not exit the competition early, promising to give it his all alongside dancer Elsa Bois.

Mayane and Christophe Licata’s first encounter was filled with excitement, as Christophe exclaimed, “I really wanted to be with you!” Mayane, a devoted fan of the show, is ready to tackle the cha cha, despite her nerves about the waltz.

Ève Gilles and Nino Mosa are both fulfilling a dream by participating in the show. Nino expressed his commitment to supporting Ève as they aim to break the “curse of the Misses,” who have yet to win the competition.

Adil Rami, a football star, is looking to bring his competitive spirit from the pitch to the dance floor. His partner, Ana Riera, humorously noted, “I’m worse [than Didier Deschamps],” as they both acknowledged the importance of focus in their partnership.

Longtime friends Claude Dartois and Katrina Patchett are teaming up, with Claude humorously admitting, “I’d rather run 180 km and spend two nights outside in the mountains. That would scare me less than stepping onto a dance floor for two minutes!”

Young contestant Jungeli is taking an enviable break from school to join the competition, with his supportive principal backing him up. His partner, Inès Vandamme, was there to pick him up directly from class, setting the stage for an exciting journey.

Julie Zenatti was welcomed with a beautiful bouquet of lilies from Adrien Caby, marking the start of her ‘Dancing with the Stars’ adventure. “Is she ‘a little anxious’? Her dancer’s goal is simply for her to have fun!”

Lastly, Nelson Monfort’s emotional first meeting with partner Calisson Goasdoué showcases the heartfelt connections formed throughout this captivating competition.
