Cryptocurrency Exchange Binance Achieves License In Critical Country For Bitcoin!

According to a press release on Thursday, cryptocurrency exchange Binance has received a license to operate in Kazakhstan.

Binance Will Be able to Operate in Kazakhstan with License

The license from the Astana Financial Services Authority (AFSA) will enable Binance to have a regulated platform status that can operate as a provider of digital assets and custody services at the Astana International Financial Center.

Astana International Financial Center operates as a regional platform focused on the development of services related to digital assets. The exchange had previously received preliminary approval from the Astana Financial Services Authority in August.

The exchange is working with Kazakhstan to help the country develop rules for cryptocurrency firms as it tries to strengthen its digital asset industry.

In May, Binance said it would help Kazakhstan develop a digital asset regulation.

At the same time, the exchange has strengthened its compliance team and received approvals and interim approvals from other countries and jurisdictions, including France, Dubai and Spain, after drawing backlash from regulators in countries like the UK and Japan last year, and Uzbekistan and Israel this year.

Gleb Kostarev, Binance’s Asia director, said in a press release:

“We are proud to announce that Binance has taken another step towards becoming a compliance-focused exchange.”

The company, which has the title of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, first focused on getting along with regulators by tightening the KYC rules it applied to its customers.
