Frankfurt Jens Ehrhardt classifies the change in monetary policy in the USA with its liquidity shortage as a very dangerous manoeuvre. For the well-known fund manager, two things are incompatible: the planned abrupt withdrawal of liquidity from the US Federal Reserve and an ongoing boom in practically all forms of assets from bonds to stocks and real estate to cryptocurrencies.

The 79-year-old is very critical of the latter. He refers to digital currencies as “perhaps the most vulnerable area of ​​the financial markets is” – and above all complains about the high number of newly created coins.

In view of the new situation on the markets, Erhardt is already recognizing a trend change away from the long-favoured growth stocks, especially from the tech sector, towards those from traditional sectors, especially from Europe. He sees opportunities in the areas of commodities, utilities and finance. This is where low valuations and high dividend yields come together.
