Crypto payments on AMC are now official. AMC CEO Adam Aron recently announced that entertainment giant AMC plans to accept crypto payments by the end of the year.
In his latest tweet on the subject, Aron said, “Flashing news! As promised, there are now many new ways to pay online at AMC. … Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin. Also Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal. Incredibly, they make up 14% of our total online transactions! Next up is Dogecoin.” said.

AMC initially favored only Bitcoin for crypto payments but, unable to withstand popular demand, decided to expand its crypto offering.
This decision was undoubtedly due to popular demand, as well as Bitcoin’s high transaction fees and not the most ideal option for handling small transactions. As such, shortly after the Bitcoin announcement, CEO Adam Aron; Ethereum has announced that Bitcoin Cash and Litecoin will also join the roster.
When Dogecoin And Shiba Inu?
On the other hand, Aron conducted a poll on Twitter and took the pulse of the community with a question whether the popular meme coin Dogecoin should be a payment method. Ultimately, it decided to include Dogecoin payments for gift cards. While a definite date was not given for DOGE, it was noteworthy that no statement was made about the Shiba Inu.
