Dusseldorf Cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies have been causing a hype in the financial world for years. This also has an impact on the job market: The number of crypto jobs is increasing. In August 2021, the online job exchange Indeed counted over 40 percent more offers than three years ago and even 60 percent more than in the previous year.
“The proportion of corresponding offers is still at a comparatively manageable level,” says Indeed labor market expert Annina Hering. On the other hand, there aren’t that many experts in this relatively new area. One thing is clear: there are definitely new career opportunities for qualified people.
The Indeed analysts scoured all job advertisements on their platform that contained the keywords cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin or blockchain. Job offers between March and August were considered.
The Handelsblatt overview shows which 15 crypto jobs applicants have been looking for particularly often – and what can be earned in this professional field in general.
