Activision established a team called RICOCHET last year. The team of security experts, game and server administrators, researchers and data scientists developed the RICOCHET Anti-Cheat system. Introduced in 2021, RICOCHET Anti-Cheat has removed more than 180,000 cheaters from the game since its last update in February 2022.

Stating that anti-cheat solutions work like antivirus software, the team said, “There is no simple solution to defeating cheaters. Cheaters are developing new cheating methods by discovering different vulnerabilities in each update. Thanks to the system we have developed, we can quickly detect cheaters.” made statements.

Call of Duty players will fight cheaters with a feature called Damage Shield. The feature, which is activated when cheaters fire, will allow players to realize that they have been hit. In this way, players will be able to directly detect the location of cheaters.

Another notable feature is invisibility. Cheating users will not be able to see players after firing. The last bomb of the RICOCHET team is the disarming technique. Cheating players will lose their weapons and become open targets.
