Dusseldorf The dairy industry exemplifies the development of modern agriculture: Fewer farms are producing more and more milk as herds have grown and cows have tripled their milk yield. But this trend is reaching its limit.
The consumption of cow’s milk in Germany has decreased significantly in the past 20 years: more people suffer from intolerances, alternatives are enjoying growing popularity.
When it comes to alternative dairy products, oat milk leads the way. Almond milk and soy milk can also be found in households – although they are often more expensive than classic cow’s milk.
