Country life & good salary: These jobs promise both

Dusseldorf Gone are the days when you had to move to big cities to get a job. Although there are still more jobs in cities in absolute terms, according to the Stepstone salary platform, the country has experienced a real upswing in terms of job offers since Corona.

The number of vacancies there has risen by 43 percent since the outbreak of the corona pandemic, compared to only 31 percent in major cities with more than 100,000 inhabitants over the same period.

For the Handelsblatt, Stepstone therefore looked at the development of job offers in the city and in the country by occupational group. Finance, media, human resources – rural regions have experienced a real upswing in many areas and attract with high salaries.
