Last night and at noon, 2 earthquakes with a magnitude of 7.7 and 7.6 occurred in Turkey’s Southeastern Anatolia region, causing great destruction in more than 10 provinces. After the destruction caused by the earthquake, the search and rescue activity in which dozens of countries participated was started. Finally, 2 logistics ships in the Navy’s inventory set out to bring construction equipment to the region.

Making a statement in the past hours, the President and other ministers stated that the use of not only people but also construction equipment in search and rescue activities in the earthquake region is of great importance.
After that, two logical ships named TCG Sancaktar and TCG Bayraktar, with the codes L-402/L-403 in the Navy inventory, set out for the shipment of construction equipment to be used to remove earthquake debris. In addition, it is known that there is a need for a large number of cranes in the region.
