Berlin In view of the rapidly increasing number of infections, the first trade associations are in favor of compulsory vaccination in the workplace – also because they consider the planned 3G regulation to be impractical. The new test and control obligations are logistically, personally and financially not feasible for the building cleaning trade, said the managing director of the Federal Guild Association, Johannes Bungart, the Handelsblatt.
“Against this background, politicians should be courageous and honest: Better than new test and control obligations, which are impossible for companies to meet, would be 2G in companies nationwide instead, and thus a compulsory vaccination at the workplace,” emphasized Bungart.
The Bundestag decided on Thursday to amend the Infection Protection Act with the votes of the SPD, Greens and FDP. According to this, a 3G regulation in the workplace will be possible in the future – employees are only allowed to go to the office or the factory if they have been vaccinated, have recovered or are regularly tested.
