Even though people’s personal electric scooters cause some problems in traffic, it does not cause a problem as they are a means of transportation because they do not leave them with them at the end of the day, even take them to their homes or leave them in the trunk of their vehicles.
However, electric scooter models, which are ready for use in just a few seconds through an application with the rental method, pose a great problem for pedestrians and traffic. The biggest reason for this is the users.

Of course, it is not right to put all the blame on the users here. Because although some regulations have been made on the subject, it does not cover all of these mobility devices, whose number is tens of thousands. For example, when the user who rents the device from the scooter parking area built by IMM reaches the destination he wants to go, he attaches it to the first pole or tree he finds and goes.
For this reason, we sometimes see dozens of accumulated scooters on the sidewalks. In fact, some of them prevent not only the passage of strollers and disabled people, but also the progress of normal pedestrians.
In addition, iron railings installed on the ground floor of many buildings in districts such as Kadıköy as a precaution against theft have started to serve as scooter mooring stations today. As Kadıköy Mayor Şerdil Dara Odabaşı said, the residents who live here get into trouble, as the devices that run out of battery make noise at night.
The problem is obvious: what will be the solution?
It is stated that there are thousands of complaints made to municipalities due to such problems. However, municipalities do not determine how many of these devices are on a district or neighborhood basis, how they are used, or where they will park.
But they can also interfere with scooters, just like the table and chair that the shopkeepers put without permission. But first of all, they are asked to contact the relevant companies and show people where the scooters can be parked with a software update.
However, in this process, it was said that since the companies did not carry out any work in the direction requested, all of them, including the scooters that would prevent pedestrian transportation in Kadıköy Municipality, would be collected. Of course, we will wait and see if companies try to pay for this to users or will they release an update in a short time.
