keel Alexi Robichaux felt overwhelmed and underqualified. After selling his start-up to the US software manufacturer VMware in 2011, he continued to work there as head of product management. The top job in the high-tech company, which had a turnover of almost four billion dollars at the time and three times as much today, was a turning point in his career. However, not for the better.
The 26-year-old programmer made good money and was involved in all important decisions, but he couldn’t cope with the pressure he created himself: “I was obsessed with my career, always wanted to be one step ahead of the competition, an incredibly exhausting lifestyle.”
