CME Group Launches Bitcoin Futures “Event” Contracts

Derivatives market giant CME Groupannounced that it has launched different event contracts within Bitcoin futures as of today.

CME Group, which made a statement on its website, will add 10 different derivative products related to Bitcoin along with event contracts. Tim McCourt, the company’s Head of Global Equity and Currency Products, said in the announcement:

“With our new derivatives products, we enable a wide range of market players to access the Bitcoin market through a fully regulated exchange.”
