Fox Business Journalist Denies The Report That There Will Be A Settlement Tomorrow Between Ripple (XRP) And SEC In His Tweet Citing Ripple Spokesperson
claim, journalist and bitcoin It was brought up on Fox Business earlier Monday by maximalist Natalie Brunnel. In a statement on Twitter, Terrett stated that the claim was false and explained that he spoke to a spokesperson from Ripple regarding the issue:
“According to a Ripple spokesperson, the news this morning regarding an expected agreement between XRP and the SEC tomorrow (11/15) is not true.”

Gasparino also shared a tweet about the news of the misunderstanding.
As a matter of fact, XRP investor and lawyer John Deaton stated that if negotiations for a settlement begin, he will contact Terrett for information among all Fox reporters.
What is the Source of Misunderstanding?
Claims that there will be a settlement between Ripple and the SEC on November 15 actually stemmed from a misunderstanding of a tweet by Attorney Jeremy Hogan. Hogan said in a previous statement that if an agreement between Ripple and the SEC occurs, it could happen between September 15 and November 15.

Hogan said on Twitter that his previous statement did not mean he expected a deal on November 15:
“What I said was this: “If the XRP case is going to be settled, the most likely time would be from September 15 to November 15.
It is not that the case will conclude on November 15.
If I had known two months ago that the case would be settled tomorrow, I wouldn’t be on Twitter right now.
In the Bahamas, I would be preparing to buy the campus where SBF used to live.
And of course I would be preparing for you all to come to the party.”
