Christian Friedel twice in “Tatort”: This man is suspiciously good – TV

Actor Christian Friedel (42, “The White Ribbon”) normally concentrates more on theater roles and stage appearances with his band Woods of Birnam. But now he’s making his debut in two new “Tatort” episodes – as a suspect.

Friedel to BILD am SONNTAG: “Corona caused all plans and projects to be mixed up. So I was very happy that these two ‘crime scene’ inquiries came in relatively spontaneously. “

On Sunday evening Friedel can be seen in “Tatort: Invisible” (Das Erste, 8:15 pm) as the scientist Nils Klotsche, whose ex-girlfriend is murdered. On November 21, his next assignment will follow in “Tatort: Murot and the Hope Principle”. In it Friedel plays a right-wing extremist.

“I always take great pleasure in transforming myself. Especially with the ‘crime scene’, where I can be seen as a suspect twice within a month, it was important to me to make the two roles visually different, ”he says. “Sometimes it makes a small but subtle difference if you wear glasses for a role.”

Friedel is currently making a movie for which he has to lose weight in the summer and now to gain weight again for the winter scenes.

Otherwise, he looks forward to his “Tatort” double broadcast with mixed feelings: “For some actors it is an ennoblement to become a ‘Tatort’ inspector or to play in the ‘Tatort’ at all. Others see the whole thing more pragmatically. But you can see that a lot of people are watching the format. “

Above all: Friedel shot the “Tatort” on Sunday in his adopted home of Dresden, where he has lived for ten years. “The probability that I will be approached about the ‘crime scene’ is definitely there. Maybe I should be careful on Monday when I go to the bakery, “says Friedel and laughs.
