Mr President, at a panel discussion in Berlin in support of Ukraine you said: “Germany can do more”. Where does the Federal Republic fall short of your expectations?
In certain situations, bolder decisions have to be made – militarily, but also politically. We are grateful for Germany’s decision to supply Leopard tanks to Ukraine. Now it’s time for the next step: fighter jets. I know the concerns, but our determination now can help shorten the war. Ultimately, this means fewer deaths and less destroyed infrastructure.
