Can green hydrogen replace Europe’s natural gas?

Dusseldorf Hydrogen is considered the silver bullet of the energy transition because it could replace fossil natural gas. The problem with this: Until now, hydrogen has still been produced from natural gas. Green hydrogen, which is produced with electricity from renewable energies, has so far only been available in small quantities.

Energy reporter Kathrin Witsch will discuss whether Europe will succeed in making green hydrogen available on a large scale with hydrogen expert Michael Sterner and Gilles Le Van, Germany boss of Air Liquide, one of the largest hydrogen companies in the world.
