It is the last week before the federal elections, the last time in prime time and millions of viewers at “TV-Triell” (8.15 p.m. on Prosieben, Sat.1 and Kabel1, from 9.45 p.m. “The right questions” with the analysis on BILD LIVE). It is the last chance for the chancellor candidates to show in direct competition who should rule Germany.

Because: Annalena Baerbock (40), who was proclaimed candidate for Chancellor by the Greens, actually fell out of the three-way battle for the Chancellery. Set up in mid-April at 23 percent, then rapidly increased to up to 28 percent, Baerbock now only has 15 percent close to the FDP.

► The Union of CDU and CSU ends up at 21 percent and has experienced a slight upturn for a good two weeks after the survey low point of 19 percent.
► The Greens only come up with Insa 15 percent. Since the end of April, the curve has been pointing continuously downwards in all relevant surveys.
Despite the huge backlog on the SPD and Union, Baerbock was also invited to the TV trio of Pro7 and Sat.1 as a candidate for chancellor. But shouldn’t FDP top candidate Christian Lindner (42) also be there? Because the Greens are only two points ahead of the FDP – and thus much closer to the Lindner party than to the Union.
After all, three months ago, when the green survey world was in order, the Greens had blasphemed internally about the SPD according to BILD information about what Olaf Scholz was doing with 15 percent of the polls in a duel between the Union and the Greens …
To justify why Baerbock is a guest at the Triell, Sat.1 and ProSieben said that the candidates “who took part in the first triell three weeks ago on RTL” were invited to the final TV triumph, according to a spokesman for BILD .
Another fact is: Only three parties officially declared candidates for chancellor at the beginning of the election campaign. Union, SPD and the Greens. The FDP does not.
