BtcTurk, one of Turkey’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges, announced that it has contributed to disaster relief efforts.
According to the sharing of a crypto money investor using the name @kriptofero on social media, BtcTurk made a statement about how it helped disaster relief efforts.
The statement made by the BtcTurk team is as follows:
“As BtcTurk, we have provided over 6 million TL in cash and winter supplies through public institutions, associations and aid organizations during this difficult period. We will continue to heal the wounds of the devastating disaster and support the needs in the earthquake region under severe winter conditions.”
In addition to BtcTurk, other cryptocurrency exchanges in Turkey also contributed to the fight against the earthquake through various institutions and charities.
The crypto community started a strong aid movement, especially after meeting with Haluk Levent MASAK and organizing a charity campaign.
Disaster relief efforts affecting Turkey to be supported with cryptocurrencies after the start of the project, both domestically and internationally, worth millions of dollars donations were collected.
