He really gave everything: blood, sweat and tears!
Agit Kabayel (30) struggled for this opportunity for months. On Saturday he wants to seize her. Then our biggest German heavyweight hope will fight in Bochum against Agron Smakici (32/Croatia) for the prestigious European title.
BILD broadcasts the Kabayel fight live and exclusively. The broadcast starts at 8 p.m. The main fight is scheduled to start around 10 p.m. YOU CAN REGISTER FOR THE STREAM HERE!
Kabayel: “I have this great anticipation, this impatience, I notice it in everyone around me. The whole of Bochum is looking forward to this duel for this big title.”
Our boxing star has had a tough preparation. BILD knows the secret training tricks of Kabayel and coach Sükrü Aksu.
mountain runs
Kabayel had to climb the long climbs in Velbert in the Bergisches Land to stay fit. “I felt it,” says Kabayel in SportBild. “Then your legs will really burn! The pulse is honestly at 200. I’m on the verge of collapsing. But I’ll persevere.”
weight sled
In the gym, he did punches while a 50 to 60 kilogram weight sled was strapped around his waist. He always took this with him.
The result: “My legs are like tree trunks. I am blessed by nature. A lot of the power comes from my legs too, because I have to be stable and then I explode. We did a lot of leg training, including skipping, jumps and squats. The legs are the foundation.”
cold chamber
To ensure that his body regenerates well after the strenuous sessions, Kabayel voluntarily climbed into a so-called cryo-sauna at minus 170 degrees Celsius.
Kabayel explains: “Cold therapy promotes regeneration and has an anti-inflammatory effect. After that I always slept like a baby.
