In the past, Borussia’s players (almost) regularly returned from their national teams battered. Raphael Guerreiro (27) and Thorgan Hazard (28) were last caught at the beginning of October.
This time, however, Marco Reus (32) and Manuel Akanji (26), two regular players, were able to travel home early to Dortmund. While national coach Hansi Flick voluntarily renounced Reus against Armenia, Akanji missed the performance of his Swiss against Bulgaria with a yellow card.
Both top performers are fit. That makes every BVB fan happy.

Both defense chief Akanji and captain Reus are among the long-running favorites of head coach Marco Rose (45). Are indispensable for him.
