Frankfurt. It’s a forecast with a long tradition – Byron R. Wien, Vice Chairman of the financial investor and asset manager Blackstone, has published his “Ten Surprises for 2022”. Now in its 37th year, Vienna reveals its predictions for the unexpected from the economy, the financial market and from politics.
Vienna is approaching 90 years and is one of Wall Street’s most respected analysts. Events are put on his list that he assigns a greater than 50 percent probability that they will actually occur.
The manager began doing this in 1986, when he was the US chief investment strategist for the investment bank Morgan Stanley. In 2009 he switched to Blackstone. Since 2018 he has been preparing his forecasts together with his company’s chief investment strategist, Joe Zidle.
