Gates shared the list of the best books according to him published in 2021 on his personal blog GatesNotes. All of the books on Gates’ list this year it was sci-fi. Stating that he was fond of science fiction as a child, Gates shared the list of suggestions as follows:
A Thousand Brains: A New Theory of Intelligence – Jeff Hawkins
Written by Jeff Hawkins, co-founder of PalmPilot, this bookgeneral intelligence‘ puts forward a new theory that supports the development of the concept. Gates says this book will “help us tackle truly complex, multifaceted challenges like the improvement of medicine,” and he appreciates the book’s illuminating approach.
