According to various surveys such as that of the knowledge platform Quora, these are by far the most frequently asked requests that users give to the smart speaker Amazon Echo. The problem: Amazon wanted other customer inquiries.

The world’s largest online retailer actually wants to use Alexa to bind customers more closely, sell them products or collect information in order to be able to place ads more precisely. Five years ago, Amazon projected a $5 loss per device to turn into a $2 profit by 2028.
