Berlin – The protests and radical left-wing actions against the announced evacuation of the “Köpi” wagon castle are increasing.
On Tuesday morning around 1:20 a.m., tires burned on the so-called village square of the left scene, Rigaer / Liebigstrasse in Friedrichshain.

The police state security will presumably start the investigation here, as a banner with reference to the car park at the “Köpi” was stretched out on site.
The car camp “Köpi” is considered to be one of the last symbolic projects of the left-wing radical scene in Berlin, as is the partially occupied building on Rigaer Strasse 94. There was a raid there last week. The court ordered the evacuation of the “Köpi” car camp in June, which is now scheduled for October 15. The residents want to try to stop this with an urgent procedure before the higher court. Should it come to the evacuation, they “do not want to give up without a fight”, as announced by the spokesman on Friday.
Benjamin Jendro, spokesman for the Berlin Police Union, speaks of “the most serious extremist crimes”, some of which the perpetrators themselves make the reference to the “Köpi” eviction. “Anyone who throws stones at people accepts the most serious injuries and even their deaths approvingly,” he says.
And with an outlook on the rest of the week: “In the next few days we will experience further decentralized and absolutely pointless actions in which things are destroyed and human lives are endangered regardless of loss. We will not be able to prevent that. That someone discredits the rule of law and successfully endangers our democratic coexistence, but yes. In this respect, no flying stone and no burning car will change the fact that the police will fulfill their rule of law and clear the wagons. “
Further fires in Berlin at night
► At the same time as the fire in Rigaer Strasse / Liebigstrasse, several vehicles from the local public order office burned in Berlin-Lichtenberg. The fire brigade put out the vehicles, but most of them burned out. The state security has started the investigation because a political motivation can be assumed.
► A Mercedes-AMG G had already been set on fire in Urbanstrasse in Berlin-Kreuzberg. Because witnesses quickly called the fire brigade, a complete burnout of the 571 hp car could be prevented for around 90,000 euros. It is still unclear how high the damage to property is.

► Also in Berlin-Kreuzberg, around 1 a.m., a car burned on Erkelenzdamm. Arson! The fire brigade put out the Renault, which was on fire, but could no longer prevent it from burning out. Another car next to it was damaged by the heat, according to the police.
► At around 2.20 a.m., a VW Tiguan in the Hellersdorf district went up in flames – the police believe that there was also arson here. The fire brigade was on the spot quickly, but couldn’t prevent the car from completely burning out. The flames spread to a Ford Fiesta and a Hyunday Kona, which were also badly damaged.
