Dusseldorf After three years at the helm of the Boston Consulting Group in Germany, Matthias Tauber is leaving the position again. He moves up internally at the world’s second largest strategy consultancy and takes over the management of a newly formed regional unit. It does business in Europe, Africa, South America and the Middle East. The Handelsblatt learned this from company circles.

The 42-year-old will lead one of the most important regions for the Boston Consulting Group from January 1, 2022. The new entity accounts for approximately 40 percent of BCG’s global sales, which were $ 8.6 billion last year. It is still unclear who will succeed Tauber as BCG boss in Germany, but will be decided in the coming weeks.
