Bavaria is now introducing partial vaccination after all – the Bundestag changes the controversial rule for those who have recovered for the plenary hall

There have been almost no corona restrictions in Greenland since Thursday. Among other things, there is no longer a mask requirement anywhere on the largest island in the world; Restrictions for public spaces – such as restaurants, cafés and sports halls – are also eliminated. The only restrictions that remain are for cruise and other passenger ships and the requirement for non-residents of Greenland to be fully vaccinated upon entry.

With this step, the government in the Greenlandic capital Nuuk is following the example of Denmark, which had lifted practically all corona restrictions in force in the country on February 1st. Greenland is officially part of the Kingdom of Denmark, but is largely autonomous.

In announcing the lifting on Wednesday, the Greenlandic government pointed out that the measures no longer made enough of a difference to outweigh the disadvantages for citizens. However, she stressed that the spread of infections in the country was high and the pandemic was not over yet. Therefore, citizens are still recommended to be considerate and to follow the recommendations of the health care system. Should the situation change again, the government is ready to intervene again.
