The International Chess Federation (FIDE) enters the web3 world together with Avalanche.
Through its partnership with Avalanche, FIDE aims to “make the activities of its players and their federations more efficient and improve the integrity of the game”.
Entering the world of Web3 with Avalanche, FIDE data on tournaments and Ranking of chess players via blockchain plans to share.
As part of the agreement between the parties, Avalanche’s developer Ava Labs also to sponsor chess tournaments starting. This includes the World Chess Championship.
“Chess is a unique sport,” said Emil Sutovsky, CEO of FIDE. Through this collaboration, we will bring the (chess) community together and strengthen ties between players, teams, federations and FIDE.” said.
