Berlin When the future traffic light coalition presented the result of their negotiations on Wednesday, party leader Robert Habeck made no secret of the fact that he found the talks exhausting: “We took on a lot. But we will be a government that also expects something from other people, so we also have to expose ourselves to something, ”said Habeck.

Many of his party members are likely to consider the result of the talks to be unreasonable in parts. Particularly when it comes to the core issue of the Greens, i.e. climate and energy policy, they were in some cases unable to assert their positions at all, or only in a weakened form.
