At least one ATM is blown up every day

After an ATM in Kierspe (Märkischer Kreis) was blown up, there was a chase in which the perpetrators aimed a laser pointer at the police. After fleeing about 40 kilometers, the officers arrested three suspects in Odenthal (Rheinisch-Bergischer district).

Frankfurt Since the beginning of the year, criminals have blown up at least one ATM in Germany every day. There were attacks in Dortmund, Duisburg, Aschaffenburg, Bad Homburg, Bad Liebenstein, Zarrentin and Bitburg, among others – across the country.

Banks are just as appalled by this development as the police and politicians. So far, all those involved have been looking in vain for a solution to stop the wave of attacks.
