In the analysis, the company compared the square meter prices of existing apartments (80 square meters, 3 rooms, 2nd floor) offered on immowelt.de in March 2018 and 2023.

The biggest increase was in Berlin with an average increase of 34 percent. They are followed by Leipzig (24 percent), Bremen and Cologne (21 percent each). The lowest increases were in Dortmund with six percent and in Stuttgart with no change in the past five years. The inflation rate was 19 percent over the same period.
