ASELSAN Şahin Physical Destruction System entered the inventory!

Defense industry companies not only manufacture UAVs, SİHAs and TİHAs, but also develop some solutions for aircraft used by enemy elements. Today, Şahin Physical Disposal System, developed by ASELSAN, has been included in the inventory. Here are the features…

ASELSAN Şahin Physical Destruction System will hunt mini and micro UAVs!

The Şahin Physical Destruction System, developed by ASELSAN, is capable of detecting and destroying all kinds of mini and micro UAVs, whether rotary-wing, fixed-wing or flapping-wing, by means of both radar and its own electro-optical systems, by tracking targets.

It can be mounted on a mobile device as in the picture above, or it can be integrated into armored vehicles thanks to its modular structure. But as its main task, it will play a role in protecting the border and critical facilities.

The US announced last year that it had developed an insect-sized and structured UAV. Now, Turkey has started work on this issue.

In addition, it will be able to destroy not only observer, but also some kamikaze type UAVs. Examples are the Switchblade kamikazes of the USA and the Kargu or Alpagu strike UAV systems of STM. Of course, this type of aircraft can not be destroyed when it is above a certain altitude, but when it enters the 700-meter range, that is, during the attack.

Defense Industry President İsmail Demir, who shared on his social media accounts on the subject, said:

The #ŞAHİN 40 mm Physical Destruction System, developed for the destruction of Mini/Micro UAVs, entered the inventory for the first time. With its easy deployment and installation features, ŞAHİN can be used in areas such as the protection of critical facilities, border security, and air defense. Best wishes.
