Apple often manages to win the hearts of users with the features and innovations it announces. Thanks to the Find My support introduced in recent years, users can instantly track and locate their devices such as iPhone, iPad, MacBook, and Watch. Now, the Apple Watch, which has been missing for more than a year, has been found in the ocean and, although hard to believe, still works. Here are the details…
Apple Watch, lost for over a year, found thanks to Find My
The technology giant manages to stand out with its features that can be helpful especially in daily life. The company, which has managed to attract users more with its innovations, is also drawing attention again with its Find My feature. A person who was diving in the Caribbean was able to find the Apple Watch model he lost during the dive after a year and a half thanks to the Find My support.

In June 2022, a person who bought an Apple Watch for his son as a birthday gift stated that the watch slipped off his wrist and got lost while diving in the Caribbean. The user, who did not remove the Watch from his wrist because it was certified for up to 50 meters when entering the water, realized that the watch was missing when he returned from the dive and later marked the device as lost thanks to Apple’s Find My feature.
More than a year and a half later, someone in the Caribbean sent a voicemail to the user saying they had found the watch thanks to Find My. The long-lost Watch was still working and had the user’s phone number on its screen. It was later returned to its owner in California, who confirmed that it was working again.
Apple’s Find My feature can send signals to other Apple devices even when the device is offline. Therefore, it is recommended that you activate this feature. What do you think about this situation? You can share your thoughts in the comments.
