Apple Vision Pro – Environment becomes computer screen

Dusseldorf Too expensive, the battery too small, the benefit too little: the first reactions to Apple’s new Vision Pro computer glasses are cautious. It still seems a long way to the mass market.

But experts take a closer look – and recognize a merging of virtual and physical reality. With “visionOS”, Apple has created an operating system as if from a long-described future. The same apps can be found in the high-resolution monitor of the data glasses as on the iPhone. But they are now floating in space and can be activated and edited by eye, hand and finger movements. Annette Zimmermann, an analyst at Gartner, thinks this is “exciting and forward-looking.
