What’s new and bug fixes in macOS 14.6
According to developer notes, the macOS 14.6 beta version fixes bugs in various applications. Unexpected application closures related to ARKit, Core Spotlight, Finder, Video Subscriber Account and Video Toolbox on Apple Silicon Macs have been fixed.
Regarding ARKit, iPhone and iPad apps on Apple Silicon Macs would quit unexpectedly when launching ARSkeletonDefinition. This problem has been fixed. In Core Spotlight -[CSSearchableItemAttributeSet setActionIdentifiers:] The unexpected shutdown problem that occurred when the command was given was fixed.
Resolved an issue in Finder with Home Videos syncing as Music Videos for iPod nano (7th generation). The unexpected closing problem that occurred when VSOpenTVProviderSettingsURLString is referenced in the Video Subscriber Account has also been resolved.
Finally, an issue in Video Toolbox where certain video content was rejected by the hardware decoder has been resolved and the software decoder is automatically selected, providing a seamless solution.

How to download macOS 14.6 beta?
- Open System Settings > General > Software Updates.

- Select the beta you want to download.
- If your developer account is linked to a different Apple ID, you can change it here.
- Click OK.
- Now your Mac will check for updates and eventually show macOS 14.6 Developer Beta as an upgrade. Click Upgrade Now.
