Apple is working on a new dual USB-C adapter! -SDN

According to new leaks, Apple is working on a new wall adapter. Of course, it is not known when this device will be released yet. But it is expected to offer additional features to existing ones. Here are the details…

Apple is developing a 35W dual USB-C adapter!

No official information has been shared yet for this new adapter developed by Apple. For this reason, we cannot say for sure that it will be released to the market. However, the 20W adapter (supports up to the iPhone 13 Pro Max 27W), which the company has already offered for its smartphones, is no longer sufficient.

Because when we look at the Android world, we are now talking about 67W even in entry segment devices. Especially at the last CES 2022 fair, we saw OPPO’s 240W adapters, which fill the entire battery of the device within minutes.

Therefore, a step is expected on the Apple side in terms of both fast charging technologies and a new generation adapter. Of course, the company can also use existing iPad and MacBook adapters for this purpose. However, since it is not included in the box, the idea that it will offer an option with dual USB-C outputs rather than the current 20W option will undoubtedly be welcomed.

However, the support document that is said to belong to the said adapter includes the following statements:

Use the Apple 35W Dual USB-C Port Power Adapter and a USB-C cable (not included) to charge your device. Connect a USB-C cable to any port on the power adapter. Then firmly plug the power adapter into the electrical outlet. Make sure the electrical outlet is easily accessible for disconnection. Connect the other end of the cable to your device.

The aforementioned document was quickly removed by Apple shortly after it was accidentally published. In fact, this in itself can be considered as proof that the company is preparing to launch this device. On the other hand, there are those who say that this adapter will be used to charge an iPhone and Apple Watch at the same time.

  • The Input / Input and Output / Output powers of the device are as follows:
    • Input: 100–240V /1.0A
    • (USB PD) Output 1 or 2: 5VDC/3A or 9VDC/3A or 15VDC/2.33A or 20VDC/1.75A
