Artificial intelligence technologies that have left their mark on recent years are also in the spotlight of Apple iPhone users… For a while now, users who wanted to try Apple Intelligence have been subjected to various restrictions by Apple. In this sense, some news has arrived that will provide some relief to users.

Artificial intelligence for Apple iPhone is now more accessible

Apple announced in June that the Apple Intelligence artificial intelligence features would only be available in US English. Initially, users who wanted to take advantage of these features had to change their device’s region settings to the US. However, with recent developments, this requirement appears to have been eliminated.

In the third beta of iOS 18.1 and macOS 15.1, Apple has removed the US region requirement, allowing users to experience Apple Intelligence features in US English. It will now be possible to simply set Siri and the device language to US English without changing the device’s region setting.

Apple’s 12GB RAM boost for iPhone 17 Pro Max. 12GB RAM will be used for Apple Intelligence features for the first time.

This change is seen as a rather comforting step for users, especially since it could affect region-dependent functionality such as phone number formats and calendar.

The AI features are still only available in English, and users in the European Union and China can’t access them, but this is a welcome change for those living outside the US who want to try out Apple Intelligence.

iOS 18 and macOS Sequoia are expected to be available to the general public next month, while Apple Intelligence was announced to be available to users in October. Let’s see what the language support will be when Apple Intelligence is released.
