Apple confirms iPhone 14 activation issue

Apple introduced the iPhone 14 series in the past few weeks and announced that it has opened for pre-order in some countries. Users reported that there is an activation problem on iPhone 14 models.

An update has been released that fixes the device activation issue during installation. With the iOS 16.0.01 update, existing issues have been fixed.

Apple states that customers who purchase one of the iPhone 14 models should upgrade their device directly to iOS 16.0.1 with a Mac or PC to avoid activation issues.

In a support document, Apple told new ‌iPhone 14‌ and ‌iPhone 14 Pro‌ customers that “iMessage and FaceTime may not be able to complete activation until they update their new iPhones to iOS 16.0.1.” says. It is not yet known when the company will eliminate the existing problems.
