“Dear BitKeep users, after preliminary investigation by the team, some downloaded APK packages are suspected to have been hijacked by hackers and loaded with code placed by hackers.

If your money is stolen, the app you downloaded or updated may be a hacked unknown version (unofficial release version).

Now, for the safety of user funds, if you have downloaded the APK version, please transfer the funds to the wallet downloaded from another official store (App Store or Google Play).

It is also recommended to use the newly created wallet address, the address you create via apk can be leaked to hackers.”

The BitKeep team also contacted Binance officials and called for a freeze of funds. BitKeep officials also said that users will be compensated if they are found to be at fault in the attack.
