Android 12L is coming to tablets and folding phones!

Google made a comprehensive promotion for Android 12L in the last quarter of last year. It is even stated that this operating system is the first software to focus on big screen devices since Android 3.0 Honeycomb version in 2011.

Android 12L

Now, Google’s Vice President of Android Andrei Popescu said in a blog post that Samsung, Lenovo and Microsoft are the first companies to commit to include Android 12L on their tablets and folding smartphones that they will introduce this year.

Support for this device should not be surprising, as Lenovo is already running the Android 12L beta version with the P12 Pro tablet. But it was really a matter of curiosity which devices Microsoft and Samsung would use in this area. Because if the Surface Duo 2 and Galaxy Fold models also offer support, we will be able to experience it outside of the tablet for the first time.

Of course, the devices we will encounter will eventually run Android 12. But Google wants to achieve with this new operating system what Apple did in iOS and iPadOS operating systems. Because it is possible to use large screen devices as much more than a phone. Especially considering that they have reached levels that can rival even laptop computers today.
